Welcome to Term 4, 2013!

Term 4 is here already! We have a very busy and exciting term ahead. We are really looking forward to performing our whole school production, 'The Amazing Race' in Week 1. Room's 3 & 6 have a wonderful Irish scene, Room's 1 and 4 have produced a colourful Jamaican scene and Room 2 are sharing their fantastic Samoan scene with some of the older students in Room 5. Make sure to get your tickets from the school office if you haven't purchased them already!
From Week 2 onwards, our inquiry topic looks at how communication has developed over time, to help people communicate in different ways.

We are going to spend some time at the start of the term looking at different cultures around the world, including own and those of our classmates. It is going to be lots of fun.

WELCOME BACK TO ST BRENDAN'S SCHOOL!

A big welcome to Mrs Causer, who is with us in Room 4, all our wonderful New Entrants in Room 6 and Emily in Room 1.

We have been busy getting to know one another in our new classrooms and have also been doing lots of swimming at H20 Xtreme! A big THANK YOU to all our parent/grandparent helpers who have been coming with us.

This week, we had our Opening Mass at the chapel at St. Pat's. Some of us even came earlier, for a lovely picnic on the lawn with our families! It was great to see so many people coming along and sharing their beautiful singing with everyone at Mass.

Our Navigator Programme has gone home - have a look for the navigator booklet in your homework book, as there are lots of exciting challenges to do! As part of our junior homework programme, we will be also completing our maths, spelling and daily reading.
